A film I cut together with Alison Wright that gives a flavour of the Akosia project in Ghana 2010:

I do regular work with Akosia a small UK based registered charity. Akosia run creative projects with children and women all over the world.  I first worked with them back in 2010 when I went to Ghana for six weeks to make a film with young street children in Accra.

In our time out there we managed to produce and screen the two films below with the kids in total control of the project from writing the story to filming.

Wicked Ambition

War In The Palace

Akosia are a small grass roots charity started by Quinn Simpson and Maria Schonfeld. This year they have sent volunteers to run creative projects in Mexico, Ghana and Mongolia.

I am going to Israel to work with an interfaith women’s group in October/November. We will be visiting the a group of women Quinn and Maria worked with last year to further their filmmaking skills and enable them to express themselves creatively through film.

If you would like more information about Akosia and the great work they do and of course to DONATE please follow the link below.
